Bio
Dave Sluberski is a Principal Lecturer at the Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Film & Animation, specializing in sound design & audio technology. He was a consultant on the design team for MAGIC Spell Studios for all state-of-the-art Sound design. He founded and authored all technical sound programs at SOFA, including curriculum design, hands-on lab integration, and industry-standard workflows.
For 25 years, he was a Senior Audio Technologist at WXXI/NPR-PBS affiliate. Through his company, West Rush Media LLC, he specializes in film and music, focusing on location recording & post-production. He designs and mixes audio for various broadcast media and digital distribution networks, including independent feature films and documentaries. His work can be heard on Apple TV, Amazon Prime & PBS Passport, and other venues.
WRM clients include the 2023 PGA Tournament, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, WXXI, the University of Rochester, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and numerous independent filmmakers. His many awards include the coveted George Foster Peabody Award, as well as numerous Telly, Gabriel, and NYS Emmy Awards. Dave considers himself a recreational welder; he and his wife, author and educator Dr. Sandra Boysen Sluberski, enjoy their classic cars and reside in Rush, NY.
