Soils and Materials Lab

Lab is used primarily in undergraduate CET courses for concrete design and testing, aggregate testing, evaluation of soil properties and associated testing.
Lab is also used by the concrete canoe student team and steel bridge student team to design and construct their canoe and bridge for student competitions.
“Major” equipment includes a concrete compression tester, course aggregate sieve shakers, a direct shear machine, a consolidation loading frame, and a UU/unconfined compression testing machine.
