    Former hockey captain beats cancer twice and becomes physician

    Dr. Chris Haltigin ’12 (biomedical sciences) had finished his second year of medical school and was studying for his first set of board exams when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He beat the cancer--twice--and is now an obstetrics-gynecology resident at Beaumont-Royal Oak Health System.

Working collaboratively, they examined challenges faced by client organizations and then presented conceptual solutions to them during a two-day event.

    The National Institute of General Medical Sciences has awarded a grant to RIT that is expected to provide $1.025 million in funding over five years to develop a Scientists-In-Training Program for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Undergraduates.
