Rethinking how to support students, leading and driving innovation, and investing in transformative teaching and impactful research are some of the focus areas of Caroline Solomon, who was installed as the first woman president of RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf on Oct. 10.

Universitywide reaccreditation teams reached new milestones this spring, including finishing the first draft of a self-study prepared by eight working groups. Three priority areas have also been identified as the focal points of the self-study: student success, research, and community well-being.

Brown Hall will get a face-lift as it becomes a new location for several science and engineering research laboratories.
