College of Science faculty who serve as Field Mentors help each student cohort build an early sense of belonging in their discipline. They also provide insight into career paths, professional opportunities, and what to expect as you explore your field.

How We’ll Work Together

Getting connected is simple. Reach out to your Field Mentor and start a conversation to explore your field and future opportunities. You can find list of field mentors by school below, or your assigned mentor is listed on SIS.

You will meet with your field mentor throughout your first few years at RIT. Starting with a meeting at orientation, you’ll have small group and 1:1 meetings to discuss your goals and interests in your discipline. Your field mentor will be available to answer your questions and connect you with helpful resources as you start your college career.
