Bio

I completed my PhD at Goethe University Frankfurt with Prof. Luciano Rezzolla, focusing on high-resolution simulations of binary neutron star mergers. My research explored how magnetic fields are rapidly amplified in the earliest phases of coalescence, and whether this amplification can be suppressed by different internal magnetic-field configurations within the stars. In parallel, I investigated how weak-interaction–driven bulk viscosity can leave measurable signatures in the gravitational-wave signal.

In 2024, I joined Prof. Manuela Campanelli’s group at RIT and began studying supermassive binary black hole mergers with the GPU-accelerated GRMHD code AsterX. I am particularly interested in linking the complex accretion dynamics to the systems’ electromagnetic emission, while continually advancing the accuracy, efficiency, and physical realism of our simulations.
