Estevez and Wong publish in PLOS Climate
Fifth-year mathematical modeling Ph.D. student Carolina Estevez published “Regret-based global coastal adaptation decision-making under sea level uncertainty” in PLOS Climate with Tony Wong, associate professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and Vivek Srikrishnan from Cornell University. The study explores how coastal communities can make more robust adaptation decisions in the face of uncertain sea-level rise, finding that more proactive strategies can reduce future flood damages at comparable overall costs.
