Figer presents on James Webb Space Telescope

Don Figer, director of the Center for Detectors in the College of Science, presented on insights from the James Webb Space Telescope on March 14 at Ecophilia Ohio. He discussed his experience as co-founder and previous director of the Independent Detector Testing Laboratory at the Space Telescope Science Institute, where he led a team to do competitive characterization of prototype infrared detectors for the James Webb Space Telescope. Figer also spoke about his experience as the detector scientist for the mission on March 7 at Sutherland High School in Pittsford, N.Y.
