Figer speaks at Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics event
Donald Figer, founder and director of the Future Photon Initiative and the Center for Detectors, spoke at the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics Summer School on Aug. 8 at the University of Toronto. Figer spoke about properties and detection of UV, optical and infrared light as part of the Introduction to Astronomical Instrumentation course, where students from around the world learn the basic principles of radio, infrared, optical, and X-ray instrumentation and how detectors and spectrographs work.
