Gibson publishes research on antibiotics and dental procedures
Teresa Gibson, professor of practice in the School of Mathematical Sciences, is the second author of “Antibiotic Prophylaxis Against Infective Endocarditis Before Invasive Dental Procedures,” published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. The results call for targeting administration of antibiotics before dental procedures to lessen the probability of highly-fatal outcomes in high-risk patients.
