Michel recognized for mentorship efforts
Lea Michel, associate professor in the School of Chemistry and Materials Science and director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the College of Science, has been selected as the 2023 recipient for the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) Chemistry Outstanding Mentor award. CUR is an organization of members from around the world who share a focus on providing high-quality and collaborative undergraduate research and scholarly and creative opportunities for faculty and students.

Scientist’s RIT experience leads to career in revolutionary gene therapy research
From an early age, Allison Keeler always knew she wanted to be a scientist. As an adult, that dream has come true as she is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Chan Medical School and the lead researcher in the Keeler Lab within the Horae Gene Therapy Center.
