RIT hosts 2022 GENIUS Olympiad

RIT hosted the 2022 GENIUS Olympiad, an international high school project competition about environmental issues organized by Terra Science and Education. High school students from the United States and more than 56 countries submitted more than 1,600 projects for consideration in the categories of science, writing, business, art, music, and short film. RIT provided renewable scholarships of $10,000 or more to all international award winners of previous and future GENIUS Olympiads pending admission to RIT. More than 20 faculty and staff members from RIT served as judges for the awards. The virtual awards ceremony took place June 18, and RIT speakers included President David Munson; Professor Andre Hudson, head of the Thomas H. Gosnell School of Life Sciences; and Paul Keller, director of international enrollment.
