Student team co-authors paper on migratory thrushes

Gabriella Orfanides, environmental science graduate student; Alexandra Bros ’22 (biology); Rachael Hoh ’23 (biology), Erica Delles ’20 (biology), Abigail Frawley ’18 (biology), and Calvin Carrington ’16 (biology) are co-authors of the paper “Patterns in the Physiological Condition of Three Species of Thrushes During Autumn Stopover Near the South Shore of Lake Ontario,” published in the Wilson Journal of Ornithology. Led by Susan Pagano, associate professor, Thomas H. Gosnell School of Life Sciences, the multi-year project aimed to assess variation in nutrient utilization and physiological condition of three species of Catharus thrushes during autumn migration by measuring key blood metrics.
