Zohrabi Alaee lead author of research on the equals sign

Dina Zohrabi Alaee, postdoctoral associate in the School of Physics and Astronomy, was the lead author of “How Physics Textbooks Embed Meaning in the Equals Sign,” published in the American Journal of Physics. This article provides an analysis of the different meanings associated with the equals sign in introductory and upper-level physics textbooks. Co-authors included Kellianne Kornick ’21 (physics) and Scott Franklin, professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy and director of CASTLE.
