Color Appearance in Mixed Reality

In this project, with PhD student Nargess Hassani, we aim to understand color and material appearance in mixed reality, where real and virtual objects share the visual field.

Visual Adaptation Under Dynamic Lighting

In the Dynamic Visual Adaptation Lab, we can change the lighting dynamically with time. We are studying how chromatic and luminance adaptation mechanisms react.

Inter-Observer Variation and Color Rendition

We simulate realistic observers to determine resulting distributions in color rendition measures including IES TM-30-15.
