RIT and NTID have announced a partnership with Garth Fagan Dance for a “cooperative-creative-connection” to begin Aug. 1.

WITR-FM (89.7) will host RIT President David Munson at 3 p.m. Feb. 24, continuing the “Ask Munson” series.

RIT honored the service and dedication of its employees with the Presidential Awards for Outstanding Staff ceremony Feb. 17. The annual awards, this year held as a webinar, are presented to staff members who exemplify outstanding service and dedication to the university and who exhibit a high degree of personal ethics and integrity while consistently demonstrating a strong commitment to student success.

The early weeks of RIT’s mandatory COVID-19 testing program have shown high compliance rates and commitment among students.

Student a cappella group Brick City Singers took top prize in the fourth annual Dr. Munson’s Performing Arts Challenge, held last Friday. Eleven students or student groups participated virtually in the finals, ranging from classical music, dance, American Sign Language music interpretation, and singing accompanied with guitar or baritone ukulele.

RIT’s spring semester this year features three recharge days for students to take a break from classes and studying. The days—Feb. 23, March 24, and April 22—feature several optional activities students may participate in either in-person, drop-in, or virtually.

Not every new student traveling to RIT for the first time gets a personal escort on the flight to New York, but that’s what happened as a result of a pleasant coincidence for Ria Lulla.

After careful consideration, it has been decided that this year’s Imagine RIT: Creativity and Innovation Festival will be fully virtual for safety and planning purposes. The date remains set for May 1, 2021.
