myCourses Updates are Live
The CTL recently asked faculty for feedback on our academic technologies and one clear finding is that there is some frustration with the design and look of myCourses. Based on this feedback, we worked with several RIT faculty focus groups to review possible changes in tandem with a planned vendor refresh of the platform.
The three myCourses components which changed on May 11, 2026 are:
- myCourses Site Home Page
- Course Default Home Page
- New Content Experience (previously the Content Tool)
All courses are now updated to the new look-and-feel. This change brings improvements to the design and usability of the Content tool in each course, including the addition of embedded activities, color customization for modules, and visible progress bars for students.
