RIT and Digital Rochester Launch Get SMART(er) Series

New program for businesses to analyze and develop strategic plans for success

The E. Philip Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology and Digital Rochester announce a brand new series, Get SMART(er). The program offers an educational experience designed for those in leadership responsibility in growing companies—and those contemplating starting a company of their own.

Thinking Strategically? Marketing Matters! will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, in the Lowenthal Building at RIT. Guest lecturers include Robert Boehner, distinguished marketing professor and executive-in-residence at RIT’s Saunders College, and Barbara Glassman, president of G-FORCE Collaborations, which is sponsoring the first session.

“Digital Rochester and the Saunders College decided that an educational series would be a great way to kick off a partnership, and we agreed to do four sessions this year,” says Donna Scheid, assistant director of executive education programs at RIT’s Saunders College. “In addition, we are offering discounts to Digital Rochester members for many of our not-for-credit executive series and also looking at specific scholarships for the Executive MBA program for Digital Rochester.

“We are always looking forward to giving back to the community and believe this Get SMART(er) series will allow us to achieve this goal in a unique way.”
