Rochester Institute of Technology and Audubon International will host a regional sustainable communities summit Wednesday, June 3, on the RIT campus.
The event, organized by Audubon International through a community grant provided by the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute at RIT, will focus on the creation of stronger public-private partnerships and greater policy coordination between initiatives related to economic development, environmental science and community development. Community, business and political leaders from throughout the Genesee Valley/Finger Lakes region are expected to attend.
The summit is a component of the Community Initiative, which is a national effort by Audubon International to enhance partnership development related to the creation of sustainable community planning and policy implementation.
