Journey across America—Part V Guest blogger

Guest blogger and Bike and Builder Breanna Dobbe checks in again with an update from July 13. Keep checking back for more updates from Breanna’s journey:

It’s about 6:15 a.m. and I’ve already been up for two hours. We have a 90-mile ride ahead of us today from Wichita Falls, Texas, to a small city in Oklahoma. Then we are back into Texas for few days. The weather has been overwhelmingly hot lately. Several of us have had some form of heat stroke and it only reminds us to drink as much water as possible. Over the last week we broke 1,000 miles and that was a very exciting thing for us. Our incredible tan lines are becoming more and more prominent—and it’s quite a sight when we actually get to wear normal clothes and you see either red or tan, and then a blinding white layer of skin.

Sorry to keep it so short today, but we are about to leave for at least seven hours of biking and the earlier we get out the better. Until next time…off to San Francisco!
