Well, I was grossly underprepared for that!
Saturday was RIT’s fourth Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival, and it was my first. My co-workers and I had to work. The writers dispersed to cover the cool things going on with their beats, taking plenty of pictures and videos and sending plenty of tweets. I stayed in the office for the first couple of hours to set up some news releases about some select exhibits, but then I got to go check out the festivities for myself.
I saw a 3-D printer, an air cannon shoot Nerf balls, a robot crab, an ice-cream-making machine, a hydrogen SUV, a cement canoe, and I got to kiss Ritchie! I wanted a DNA necklace, but the line was too long by the time I got there. And I also missed out on the laser-etched water bottles. And I missed the amateur radio club’s balloon launch and the balloon jungle. There was just so much to see and not enough hours in the day. Needless to say, I’m taking advantage of the Plan Your Day tool next year!
I hope all my loyal readers got to see and do everything you wanted to at the festival. What were your favorite exhibits?
