While the next issue of News & Events—which delivers Oct. 4—is by no means the most “thrilling” of the bunch, there is still a lot of interesting news to read. This time around we don’t have any multi-million dollar gifts from benefactors to celebrate, but we do feature a great story on a visit from the president of the Dominican Republic. We also offer stories about the new Albert J. Simone Center for Creativity and Innovation, and a record-breaking year for Sponsored Research Services.
Other highlights of this issue, in my opinion, include a really great piece on a Student Affairs administrator who has found time to write murder mysteries. (Pretty cool!) And an interesting story on the Day of the Dead celebration of Mexico.
We also tried to make the more eye-catching photos in this issue a little larger, and hope to continue this trend.
So, while the breaking news seems to be “light” this issue, there is still plenty of truly interesting news to report.
