This 3 credit course in spring semester provides photography students the unique opportunity to participate in a one-week intensive workshop experience traveling and photographing in Cuba over Spring Break. Through the use of photography, related field trips and lectures, students will be introduced to a completely new culture and environment and learn technical skills to document the environment, architecture, and the people of Cuba. Students will be required to produce a portfolio of photographs made in Cuba that illustrate the cultural experiences of Cuba.
Open to undergraduate and graduate students. Non-majors are also encouraged to apply.
3rd year, 4th year and graduate SPAS students preferred. If there is space available, others will be considered. The class will take place Spring Semester and the trip to Cuba will take place over Spring Break.
Program Cost: A complete student budget worksheet for the spring/spring break 2019 program can be found here. Students should take a copy of this worksheet to their financial aid advisor to determine how their aid may apply to the program cost.
