Ayden Edwards ’28 (global business management) is studying in Zagreb, Croatia, as part of the Global Business Management Rotation. Students spend the spring semester of their second year at RIT Croatia, studying in Zagreb, the country's capital and largest city. In the spring semester of their third year, they study at RIT Dubai.
Ayden writes:
My time here in Zagreb has been amazing, every single second of it! Of course, in the first few weeks, it took some time to adjust to everything. That was to be expected. Since being here, I have met lifelong friends. I have met so many people and not just Croatians, people all over Europe. They have also had an impact on my experience here, and adjusting as well.
The students at RIT Zagreb are also nice and welcoming. Although it is a small university, everyone has their own friend group. The students will take you under their arm, show you around, and introduce you to the culture here. That includes sites to see, like the Zagreb Cathedral, as well as traditional dishes, like burek. I truly am grateful for the people I have met here.

The university itself has been very helpful with us adjusting to living in Zagreb. The program I am in, the GBM rotation, planned two trips for us. One trip was to see a couple of castles and a museum about neanderthals. That trip was very cool. Another trip we have is going to a national park. I have seen pictures online, and it looks beautiful. That trip is in a couple of weeks.
I do want to point out that the university has communicated to us that if we need anything to not hesitate to ask. Which, for me, is really important, knowing that I have a support system that I can use. The professors here are more than happy to help. All of my professors are very welcoming. The teaching style is a little different from what I was used to at the main campus, but I have been able to adapt, and my professors have helped me as well.
I truly cannot express how grateful I am for the opportunity to experience this and be here in Zagreb. I feel like I have grown as an individual, and I am grateful for that.
