Michael E. Kane, principal lecturer in the department of business studies, has released his third book, Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and Children of Deaf Adults (CODA) Identities: The Accounting Profession. The book profiles individuals from across the globe who have achieved the highest level in the accounting field. The volume builds on Kane’s earlier studies into the experiences of deaf and hard-of-hearing CPA’s.

From Amazon: “This book is an essential resource for deaf and hard-of-hearing students pursuing careers in business, accounting candidates seeking motivation for their certification exams, and career counsellors looking for inclusive success stories. It is also a compelling read for CODAs [Children of Deaf Adults] and the broader finance community interested in diversity, equity, and the power of resilience in the workplace."
