Financial literacy plays a vital role in empowering individuals to make informed choices, manage resources effectively, and plan for long-term success. With this in mind, Saunders Next Generation of Accountants (NGA) and the Personal Finance Club (PFC) hosted a Personal Financial Literacy Event on Friday, October 24th, 2025, at RIT.
The event was organized by Joshua Michaels ‘26 (marketing) from the Personal Finance Club; and Viana Tafoya ‘28 (accounting) and Kiera Moran ‘28 (accounting), NGA’s Personal Finance Co-Chairs. Suzanne McCaffrey, lecturer in the department of finance and accounting, serves as advisor to NGA.
Saunders alumni Anthony Tesla ‘96 (MBA), Ben Hart ‘26 (MBA), Fiore Marino ‘13 (MBA), and Eric Andolina ‘22 (MBA) shared their time, expertise, and real-world experiences. From navigating taxes and real estate to understanding credit scores and investments, these speakers helped break down complex financial topics into practical, approachable lessons.
