Mislan receives Service After Service award

Rick Mislan ’91 (professional and technical communications), senior lecturer in the Department of MIS, Marketing, and Analytics, is the recipient of this year’s “Service After Service Award,” given annually at the RIT Veterans Day Breakfast to a veteran who has demonstrated a steadfast commitment of service to others following their military service. Mislan served in U.S. Army as an Electronic Warfare Officer from 1991-2000 through an RIT ROTC Commission. Mislan is creating a cybersecurity management minor and serves as the creative director for the ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute. Mislan is also the author of RITchie Finds his Stripes, a children’s book about the RIT Tiger mascot, whom he named in 1989.
