Vote for ExOut Extremism panel at SXSW 2017

Panel discussion speakers from RIT, Facebook, EdVenture Partners and the U.S. Department of State

Cast your vote! This is the final day that voting is open to the public to support “Take Back the Internet: Countering Extremism,” one of the panel submissions at SXSW 2017.

If selected, a four-person panel — with RIT student Olivia Hauck from the spring 2016 winning team It’s Time: ExOut Extremism, EdVenture Partners, Facebook and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Countering Violent Extremism Task Force—will share how the public-private partnership model is making strides to counter extremism online, and how these types of partnerships should be further explored.

Hauck was part of a team of students from RIT who won first place in June for their social media project, It’s Time: ExOut Extremism, in a global U.S. State Department challenge.
