Bio
Karen is passionate about student success and working closely with students help them reach their goals. Karen started her academic career at RIT in 2002 as a staff assistant, she advanced to become an Academic Advisor and then on to the position of Assistant Dean of Student Services in the College of Engineering. In 2019 Karen left Rochester for an Assistant Dean position at ETSU in the College of Nursing in northeast Tennessee.
In 2021, wanting to relocate back to Rochester to be closer to family, and yearning to be an academic advisor again, she is thrilled to be joining the Computer Science team! Karen earned her A.S. from MCC and her B.S. and M.S. from RIT. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Academic Advising from Kansas State University.
Karen enjoys bicycle riding, watching HDTV and family time, especially with her Siberian Husky- Luna!
