Honors Program Students Present Their Work

The Honors Program included nine students mentored by six of our faculty members

In order to provide excellent students with more opportunities to advance their knowledge and skills, RIT Croatia launched its Honors program in the fall semester 2022. Eligible students applied and had worked hard exploring topics within a course they were taking, that was offered within this program. 

The Honors Program included nine students from both International Business BS program and Web and Mobile Computing BS program, mentored by six of our faculty members. Once they finished with their research, students presented their findings at the 1st Honors Program Colloquium, held on Monday, January 23. 

This was also an opportunity to discuss their overall experience and learning outcomes. Following is the list of all students and their work:

  • Alternative Solutions for Communication Logistics-Related Problems Within a Firm's Supply Chain by Lana Matijašević (MGMT-320 Organizational Effectiveness); mentor: dr. sc. Maja Vidović

  • Taylor Swift Tour Ticket Sales with Ticketmaster by Tara Rakočević (DECS-310 Operations Management); mentor: dr. sc. Kristina Šorić 

The program is administered by dr. sc. Jakob Patekar, General Education and Research Chair, and Marija Šušak Mišetić, Academic Affairs and Student Services Manager.

„The students showed a high level of independence and responsibility, and the mentors, professors Brassard, Guszak, Marković, Mihaljević, Šorić, and Vidović, aptly provided guidance. Some of the work will result in publications, and we look forward to reading them!", said dr. sc. Patekar.

„We are really happy with the results, as well as the interest! I am happy to announce that we have accepted 10 new freshmen students who have 23 options to choose from from all of the program core courses, as well as general education courses." said Marija Šušak Mišetić.
