Overview of Experiential Learning
Experiential Learning
The hands-on experiences that turn
knowledge into know-how.
At RIT Croatia, experiential learning enables students to apply what they’ve learned through lectures, assignments, and projects to a variety of rich experiences outside the classroom. These meaningful exchanges expand students’ knowledge and broaden their perspectives by refining their professional and intellectual competencies, cultivating their leadership abilities, advancing their career development, and further developing their talents.

Cooperative Education (co-op)
Cooperative education is full-time, paid work experience in a corporate setting. Students often alternate co-op blocks with semesters of on-campus study.
RIT has the fourth-oldest and one of the largest cooperative education programs in the world. Last year, more than 4,500 RIT students participated in co-op and internship positions with more than 3,400 hiring organizations, from large Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders, to small start-ups and world-class not-for-profits. RIT continues to lead by example in creating various co-op opportunities for students; as its global campus, RIT Croatia follows suit through networking and events specifically designed to boost students’ learning experience and their future careers.

International Studying Experience
Through various international experiences, RIT Croatia students can enhance their cultural understanding and broaden their global view. Semesters of study at RIT’s global campuses through RIT’s Global Scholar program, Erasmus+ exchange opportunities throughout Europe, and captivating summer study programs are all designed to immerse students in new cultures and expand their world view.

Community Engagement
When students engage in community-based volunteering and service projects, they participate in meaningful experiences that teach civic responsibility and strengthen our global communities.
