RIT Croatia welcomes new faculty members in spring 2023/2024!

RIT Croatia community is delighted to extend a warm welcome to our five newest faculty members, one of whom is an RIT Croatia alumnus, who joined our esteemed teaching forces for the spring semester of the academic year 2023/2024.

Marija Kamber will be teaching a course named Survey: Ancient to Medieval Art in our New Media Design program. Marija Kamber is an artist, curator and art pedagogue based in Zagreb. In her practice, she explores the implementation of artistic projects in social contexts of various urban and rural spaces, through interdisciplinary practices, community engagement and education. She is the co-founder of the Circle Association and Garage Kamba, a pop-up gallery focused on presenting interdisciplinary exhibition formats, residencies and artistic practices based on site-specific design, in which she acts as curator and project manager (since 2017). She has been working with LAB852 since 2017, as a curator and project administrator. Marija graduated with MA in department of Art pedagogy and Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, and did her professional training for the vocation of the Museum pedagogue in the Klovićevi dvori Gallery. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad and is the author of twenty published texts and prefaces to exhibitions in the field of visual and interdisciplinary arts.

Tomislav Krajcer, who will be teaching an Animation course in our New Media Design program, holds a BA degree in Film, Television, and Multimedia attained at VERN in Zagreb and a master's degree in the Study of Printing Technology from the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Zagreb. His professional career began in 1995, with a focus on the field of motion graphic design in the production of television programs, including works in designing and producing show intros, onscreen graphics, and LED visuals for music and entertainment shows and theater. Throughout the years, he has also worked on creating dozens of TV commercials and 3D visualizations of set designs. Students taking this course taught by Tomislav can expect Students can expect expertise teaching of skills and learning tips and tricks needed for the efficient creation and implementation of various kinds of animation in their future projects.

Ivan Kolanović will be teaching the Software Development and Problem Solving I course in our Web and Mobile Computing program. Ivan graduated Magna Cum Laude from RIT Croatia, currently pursuing a MEng in Computer & Embedded Systems Software Engineering. His professional journey started alongside my academic pursuits, evolving from an intern to his current role as a Mid-level Back End Developer. Beyond classroom instruction, Ivan is devoted to mentoring, guiding, and supporting students throughout their academic and professional journey. His approach emphasizes clear explanations, open communication, and an approachable demeanor, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages active participation and collaboration

Ante Lučić, who will be teaching a course named Competing Globally to the senior students in the Global Business Management/IB program, considers himself a serial entrepreneur and an HR consultant with substantial international experience. Ante is currently obtaining the position of the Founder and Director at A-Link Consulting Ltd., Zagreb. He holds a Master of Law and Business, MLB degree from the Bucerius Law School & WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management, Hamburg & Vallendar, Germany, and a BA degree in International Politics and History from the Jacobs University, Bremen, Germany. His students can expect interesting discussions, and learning to think strategically.

Sara Miščin is joining us to teach the Writing Seminar course. Sara holds a Master’s degree in English and Portuguese from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Currently, she is in her second year of PhD studies in Literature and Culture Studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, where her research focuses on Northern Irish literature concerning the Troubles. She has been teaching for nine years at both secondary and tertiary levels of education. Sara’s students can expect a well-structured, interactive, and supportive learning experience that focuses on both the technical and critical aspects of academic writing. Her goal is to empower students to become effective and confident writers in various academic and professional settings.

We are excited to see new faces among our faculty members and we are sure that their wealth of knowledge and passion for education will undoubtedly enhance our academic environment. We look forward to the innovative perspectives they bring to our community.
