An Augmented Reality-based Assembly Line Training System

Location

James E. Gleason Hall - 1150

We developed an augmented reality-based system for training assembly line workers. This system provides an immersive training experience, enabling novice workers to learn assembly line tasks. A group of four trainees, each wearing an Oculus Quest 3, will work together during the training. Instructions for the assembly work will be displayed to each trainee, guiding them through the tasks. Virtual content and interfaces will be shared among the group of trainees, allowing them to interact with each other and complete the training collaboratively.
