Automated Potentiometer Tuning Instrument

Side-by-side photos of RIT students and activities with the text See How RIT is Advancing the Exceptional underneath.

We have created an automated tuning device for potentiometers on control boards. With our device, you are able to input where on a board your potentiometers are, and the range they need to be within. Once these have been entered, insert the board onto the bed, and the device will handle the rest. The visitor experience will be allowing you to turn the device on, insert a dummy board, and watch our device move the board around to the tune points and get adjusted accordingly. You will be able to witness our device slowly stepping into place with half and quarter steps, and then see the board line up with the tuning bits.
