We are the Multidisciplinary Robotics Club. Our group consists of individuals from many different backgrounds and majors. We currently support five main projects, as well as several smaller personal projects throughout each semester. At the moment, the five main projects range greatly in capability and design. The first of which is PacBot, a robot designed to autonomously play Pacman on a physical field. Our Pacbot team competed last spring and won against Harvard and Princeton. Our other autonomous robot is Ultima, the purpose of this project is to compete in IGVC, and consists of a FRC-type robot designed to self-navigate a parking lot filled with a predetermined set of obstacles. We also have our very own BattleBots team that competed throughout the past semester at NHRL. Our last two projects are non-competition, and are worked on as passion projects or as club outreach projects. The first of these is Catbot, Our quadruped robot that uses pneumatic muscles and traditional motors to walk. The other being Couchbot, a rideable couch that we have been bringing to events for the past several years. Our table would consist of multiple demonstrations of the projects described above, and Couchbot would be driving around and offering rides to those attending Imagine. These demonstrations would be purely visual, where we would show off the functionality of the project, but there would be little to no direct interaction with the actual projects to limit the potential of injury as many of the projects being shown are incomplete. Depending on member interest on attending, we may have a more interactive activity that consists of creating your own hex bug.
