NASA Psyche Capstone: Sample Return from Hypothesized Surfaces

Location

James E. Gleason Hall - 4th Floor

Side-by-side photos of RIT students and activities with the text See How RIT is Advancing the Exceptional underneath.

For a future Psyche mission, the team developed a system to preserve samples from the asteroid's surface. The collection system is designed to withstand the environments (pressure, temperature, radiation) of the asteroid Psyche and reentry back to Earth. The exhibit will display the rotating collection holder and how the future mission will verify the accurate collection of samples.
