RIT Aero Design Team

Location

Student Hall for Exploration and Development - A950

We are the RIT Aero Design Team and each year, we design, build, test, and fly remotely piloted aircraft. The team is comprised of 25 members across various majors at RIT. For the 2023-24 academic year, we competed in the AIAA Design, Build, Fly Competition in Wichita, KS. The team is also testing and developing a fully functional turbo-jet engine. As a display we would like to have some of our aircraft and our caged motor tester with a propeller that would run occasionally. We would also like to have a remote controlled flight simulator running on a team members laptop. We would need at least 2 tables and possibly an outdoor setting for our motor tester if that is approved. The tables will be used for display of aircraft, the flight simulator and the motor tester.
