RIT Archives StoryBooth
Everyone has a story to share. The RIT Archives has launched a new StoryBooth program to collect the stories and voices of our campus community, and to ensure that diverse expressions are represented in our collections for generations to come. During this interactive exhibit, community members will be invited to record themselves answering questions or prompts that are themed to the Imagine RIT event. We want to hear all about your favorite exhibits and activities from the day, what you think Imagine RIT represents for both the RIT community and greater Rochester area; and, if you're a repeat visitor, why Imagine RIT keeps you coming back! Recordings from the event will be added to the RIT Archives, and will be preserved and made accessible to the public on our Oral History web portal. To honor the recent passing of Dr. Barry Culhane (1946-2022), the former Executive Assistant to the RIT President who is credited with helping to create the first Imagine RIT in 2008, the StoryBooth will also be hosting a traveling exhibit celebrating the history of the event in its 15th year. We'll have archival materials available for the public to view, and will also be offering raffle prizes and giving away RIT Archives swag.
