VR Assistive Controller and Support System

Location

MAGIC Spell Studios - MAGIC Atrium (2950)

We are interested in displaying both halves of our product, with possible interaction if safe. The larger part of the exhibit will be our physical support system, where we can have users sit in our device and see how the assistive sections remove strain from the users and provide support. We are also interested in displaying the progress on our VR controller. While we are currently unsure the level that our controller will reach by Imagine, we are hopeful that we will be able to display a VR game on a monitor and either allow guests to test the controller or have a team member demonstrate the controller for guests, comparing it to the previous controller and how this one may be a more comfortable use. Interaction with the controller will be far more limited and restricted than interaction with the support unit as it is likely to be more delicate. In the case that there is concern for younger/smaller users interacting with the project due to size, a team member will likely demonstrate the project instead of attendee interaction. The team is having a more intense, full demonstration once an hour to show of the full capability and interaction of the parts without having issues with clogging at the table. We are also interested in possibly having 3D printed or plastic injection molded models of the old controller and our new controller to demonstrate the difference in ergonomics and hand position.
