Modify an Undeclared Program

Overview

Undeclared Programs can be modified by the host college during the annual catalog publishing process.

Pre-Baccalaureate Programs and College Exploration Programs are examples of Undeclared Programs.

Updated Proposal and Required Approvals

To modify an existing Undeclared Program, the following steps must be completed:

  • Prepare an updated description and RIT Curriculum Table which identifies the courses students will take
  • Secure approval from the following:
    • Department Head
    • College Curriculum Committee

After Approval

Submit the updated description and curriculum table to the Office of the Vice Provost during the annual catalog publishing process.

The Office of the Vice Provost will review the proposal and submit it to the Registrar’s Office. The updated undeclared program will be reflected on the RIT Programs of Study website and in the Undergraduate Catalog during the regular annual process.
