Ferrante recognized for advancing particle physics research with ATLAS
Andrew Ferrante, senior lecturer in the College of Science, was recognized as part of the ATLAS Collaboration, which received the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics for its contributions to advancing particle physics research at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. Ferrante's contributions involved studying detector performance and analyzing collision data to explore potential new particles and refine understanding of the Higgs boson.
