K-12 Clean Energy Education program receives funding

For the seventh consecutive year, Alla Bailey, principal lecturer, and Gerald Takacs, professor in the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, have received $25,000 from Constellation Energy, an Exelon Company, for their K-12 Clean Energy Education program. The program provides teachers with materials to incorporate experiments focused on fuel cell construction, electricity generation using a hydrogen fuel cell, solar electrolysis of water, and other topics into their curriculum.
