Kirmari co-authors study on next-gen solar cells

Ahmad Kirmani, assistant professor in the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, co-authored “FACsPb Triple Halide Perovskite Solar Cells with Thermal Operation over 200 degrees C” with researchers at the University of Oklahoma, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and the University of North Texas. The study, published in the journal ACS Energy Letters, demonstrates the stability of perovskite solar cells in extreme environments. The breakthrough enabled by a modified and ultrastable device architecture makes these next-generation solar cells attractive for aerospace applications.
