Professor named to National Academy of Sciences panel

Casey Miller, professor and associate dean for research and faculty affairs in the College of Science, has been invited by the president of the National Academy of Sciences to serve as a member of the Astro2020: Panel on State of the Profession and Societal Impacts. The panel will gather information on the health and demographics of the astronomy and astrophysics community and make actionable suggestions to the Astro 2020 committee on the topics of demographics, diversity and inclusion, workplace climate, workforce development, education, public outreach, benefits to the nation, and relevant areas of astronomy and public policy.
