Researchers publish paper on coronaviruses

Patrick Rynkiewicz ’21 BS/MS (bioinformatics), a scientist at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, and Gregory Babbitt, associate professor in the Thomas H. Gosnell School of Life Sciences, are the lead authors on a comparative computational study of the binding function of various coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-2, and its relatives in humans and bats. The collaborative effort included Associate Professor Feng Cui, Professor Andre Hudson, and Miranda Lynch of the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute, Buffalo, N.Y.
