Thousands will swarm the RIT campus Saturday, May 7 for the annual Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival.
The festival is designed to demonstrate what can happen when smart, talented people with diverse skill-sets collaborate to solve complex, real-world problems. This year’s event will feature hundreds of interactive exhibits, performances and demonstrations.
Visitors can examine senior design projects, play student-designed video games, enjoy musical and theatrical performances and revel in the traditional festival fare. More than 32,000 spectators visited campus as part of the 2010 festival.
“We’re incredibly excited to unveil our fourth Imagine RIT Festival on May 7,” says Barry Culhane, the festival’s chairman. “We have a number of new exhibits that will wow our visitors and many crowd favorites from festival’s past will return, as well.”
Imagine RIT takes place from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the RIT campus. Parking is free and is available at RIT or at MCC, with a free shuttle to campus. Admission is free and all are welcome.
