As part of the launch of the new Sponsored Research Module in Novelution, individuals that will have budgeted effort on sponsored research projects will need to provide the approval to release their individual salary information for use by SRS staff to develop project budgets. Much like the current proposal development process, access to the salary information of relevant faculty and staff is needed to develop budgets for sponsored research projects.
The one-time authorization to release salary information can be accomplished by logging into Oracle self-service (https://mybiz.rit.edu) and selecting ‘Release Salary Information for Sponsored Research’ and completing the required steps. A help guide is available to walk you through the process.
SRS encourages all individuals that intend to participate in sponsored research complete the one-time salary authorization steps now, to prevent delays in preparing future proposal budgets.
