2025 Summer Institute

The 2025 Summer Institute for Teaching and Learning was once again held in conjunction with an AI Symposium took place on May 14-16, 2025. The theme of this year’s conference was “Creativity and Innovation” in teaching and learning. The program consisted of the PLIG Poster Showcase, hands‑on AI workshops, keynote presentations, and a variety of RIT faculty-led sessions on the following topics: Teaching and Supporting Students with Technology, Creating Engaging Learning Experiences, Advancing Faculty Success, and Exploring AI In Practice.

This year’s Summer Institute is hosted by the Center for Teaching and Learning, sponsored by RIT Research, and offered in partnership with the AI Hub.

We were pleased to announce three exceptional keynote speakers to headline the conference: Melissa McCarron, Assistant Teaching Professor of Spanish at University at Buffalo, Marina Smitherman, Interim Dean, School of Health Professions, and Professor of Biology at Dalton State College, and Andrew White, Co-founder & Head of Science of FutureHouse.
