Faculty Fellows: Generative AI

Generative AI isn't everyone's cup of tea, and our CTL Faculty Fellows for AI know it. BUT it's well worth a conversation to see how and what faculty are using to expedite their endeavors, and safeguarding their pedagogy. Schedule a one-on-one consultation with Shaun from CAD and/or Garret from GCCIS to look at options and or share joys or concerns. Both work closely with the AI Hub and other Faculty Fellows in expanding our understanding of what might work and are well versed in the tricky problems Gen AI affords the academy.
Garret Arcoraci, brings a deep commitment to teaching and learning that stems from his years of experience as both a long-time educator and industry professional. With expertise in teaching with technology, course and curriculum development, student engagement, and computing fundamentals such as systems, networking, scripting, and programming, he helps faculty explore how emerging technologies — including generative AI — can support instruction and student learning. Garret continuously explores technology trends and works to foster practical, forward-looking applications of tools that enhance both teaching and the broader academic environment.
Shaun Foster, has spent more than two decades advancing interactive 3D and educational technologies. His expertise spans interactive 3D and educational technology, advanced digital graphics, augmented and virtual reality, generative AI, and innovative teaching with emerging technologies. Shaun’s work includes leading grant-funded projects and exploring how design thinking and cutting-edge tools such as XR/VR, eye tracking, and AI can enrich learning experiences across disciplines. His curiosity about generative AI and next-generation interactive tools helps bridge creative practice with pedagogical innovation.
Reach out to Garret or Shaun to talk through ideas, questions, or concerns about generative AI in your teaching. Whether you’re curious or cautious, they can help you explore what’s practical, appropriate, and aligned with your course goals.
