Malik co-presents research at national conference

Nidhi Baindur, a fourth-year computational mathematics major, presented “Integrating Climate Network Analysis and Machine Learning in El Nino Southern Oscillation Prediction,” along with Nishant Malik, assistant professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, at the National Society of Black Engineers conference. Baindur’s work focuses on enhancing the predictability of El Nino Southern Oscillation by integrating climate network analysis with machine-learning techniques, potentially improving the accuracy and reliability of ENSO forecasts, which are critical for climate resilience and mitigation strategies.
